Tips for Raising a Happy and Healthy Kitten

Getting a new kitten is one of the best things in the world. They’re cute, soft, and cuddly. They are irresistible and melt even the toughest of hearts. It’s best to start things off on the right track to a long and happy life with your new feline companion. Here are some starter tips for you and your new, cuddly furbaby. Diet Continue feeding your kitten its “normal” diet, but slowly introduce a high quality kitten food into the mix. After your little furbaby has adjusted, feed the high quality food exclusively. Feed your kitten at least three to four times a day from a shallow plate; glass or ceramic…

    Feeding your new kitten

Now that you have a new kitten, I’m sure you’d like to know how to bring her up to be a happy, healthy cat. Diet is one of the most important choices you make for your new kitty. It’s a great time to find that special furry addition to your family and it allows your kids to form some early bonds with those kitties as they are spending time home away form school during their summer break. If you’ve considered bringing home a feline friend, you might have questions on how to integrate a new pet into your life…

    Pet Insurance

I know that one of the more difficult things that you, as a pet owner, have to decide is whether or not you can afford to pursue the tests and treatments that I recommend as a veterinarian. I personally spend entirely more than I want to on my Logan‘s medications, food, and over-the-counter treatments, even at a discounted cost. I only wish that I had purchased pet insurance for her when she was a puppy. I do have pet insurance on Lancelot, my cat, and my parents’ German Shepherd Dog, which I obtained within a week of getting each of them. Most of us treat our pet dogs and cats…
