    After having only one cat for a while and having 3 children, I finally worked myself up to adopting another dog. It just had to be the prefect one that needed a home, so it took a while for such a canine creature to fall into my lap. Logan, then Bella, was dropped off at my clinic by a gentleman who had purchased her from out of state.     So I think the best place to start is my personal furbabies, so that you know how my own pet owner experience developed. I have practiced veterinary medicine since 2000, but I have been a pet owner since 1992. When I was in college, I adopted a kitten and was quickly exposed to pet ownership and veterinary medicine as a young adult.
